Job Description

Home Child Care Provider

Permanent employment, full time (30-40 hours per week).

Location: Toronto, ON

Work setting: Employer’s home. On‑site work only, no remote work.

Work environment: Non‑smoking, scent‑free; optional live‑in accommodation available at no charge (not a condition of employment). Public transportation is available.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and care for children.
- Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of parents.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Bathe, dress, and feed children.
- Instruct children on personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a protected and healthy environment in the home.
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Prepare children for rest periods.




- Tend to the emotional well‑being of children.

Qualifications

- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Security: Criminal record check.
- Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- Personal suitability: Client focus, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliable, time management, patience, honesty.
- Language: English.
