Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of casual Clerk at our Food Store location in Smeaton, Saskatchewan.

Reporting and Responsibilities

- Demonstrate behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co‑operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles, with a strong, customer‑focused approach.
- Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
- Serve guests, pack groceries, restock and face shelves, dispense fuel and propane.
- Maintain a clean and well‑maintained department; address breakage and spills, clean shelves, bins and displays as needed, and keep aisles free of debris.
- Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards, including responsible sale of age‑restricted items (wine, spirits, beer, tobacco, lottery).
- Have knowledge and working understanding of pumps and propane.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale system and other electronic devices and process sales.
- Monitor code dates to ensure freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in, first out (FIFO).
- Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

- You are honest, trustworthy, results‑oriented, and proud of your work.
- You are 19 years of age or older.
- You are strongly service oriented, motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- You are well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with minimal supervision.
- You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
- You are willing and able to obtain WHMIS and propane dispensing certifications.
- You have solid cash management skills.
- You can fulfill physical job requirements: working inside and outside, standing, kneeling, crouching, and performing heavy lifting regularly.
- You can work in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment.
- You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
