The OSC is looking for caring individuals to fill the School Crossing Guard positions for the school year. This role requires individuals who are robust in spirit and able to engage with children and adults alike. You will play a pivotal role in directing traffic and making sure students cross safely at designated intersections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Help pedestrians cross streets safely and efficiently
• Warn vehicles to stop during crossings
• Communicate effectively about traffic rules
• Monitor intersections for safety and report issues
• Maintain a qualified demeanor at all times
Requirements:
• Must possess a smartphone for communication
• Valid Ontario Driver's License preferred
• Effective verbal and listening skills in English
• Ability to interact with all kinds of people
• Successful completion of a required Police Records Check
