GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Bagger Operator is responsible for day-to-day functions such as machine setup, operation, shipping preparation, and miscellaneous duties as required. Follow all safety procedures, understand all safety equipment and adhere to the company policies.





DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Machine set-up-adjust feeders for stock size, set up a counter, adjust guide rails, length of the card, crimper speed, a knife between cards, etc.
- Machine operation- check the counter to ensure correct count, ensure the feeder is full, communicate with an assistant when the new card is approaching the line, remove the rejected product, fix jams, etc.
- Labelling and double-checking boxes to ensure information is correct.
- Prepare for shipping-prepare & check the manifest and the master list, inventory manifest, and skid for shipping.
- Compliance with safety policies and requirements.
- General clean-up of the area.
- Miscellaneous other duties as required, including running other machinery .

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization .
- Must have the ability to multitask .
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team .
- Positive work ethic and excellent attendance record .
- Ability to keep records, write legibly and communicate in English .
- Must be able to lift material weighing 50lbs maximum .

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

- High School Diploma or Level 12 G.E.D.
- Machine operator/production experience as an asset .
- Knowledge of quality and safety issues .

SHIFTS:

- Days , Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Evenings , Monday to Friday from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
