Join the YMCA NewAlta team as a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator impacting children in Fort McMurray. Provide supportive, high-quality learning experiences for ages 0-12.
You will play a crucial role in fostering children's development through the implementation of engaging YMCA curriculum. By creating a stimulating atmosphere and maintaining safety standards, you’ll facilitate social interactions and individual learning experiences. Additionally, you will support administrative tasks and mentor new colleagues while building solid relationships with children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement approved curriculum for child development
• Engage in activities promoting creativity and exploration
• Observe, document,



and support individual growth
• Maintain safety and compliance with regulations
• Communicate child updates to parents regularly
Requirements:
• Experience working with children preferred
• Level 1 Child Care Certification (or in progress)
• Must have Standard First Aid & CPR – C
• Able to obtain Police Information Check
• Experience with Microsoft Office and tablets
