Job Description
Reporting to the Guest Service Manager Valet, responsibilities include:
- Positioning at entrances to provide parking assistance upon arrival and departure of guest vehicles.
- Greeting all guests arriving by vehicle, promoting valet parking and directing to public parking if preferred.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction with highest caliber of service throughout the guest stay.
- Maintaining clear identification and secure storage of vehicle keys.
- Providing detailed parking fees and explanation of valet benefits.
- Keeping entrance areas free and clear from congestion.
- Executing thorough walk‑around of guest vehicles prior to entry into the garage and reporting any damage on the valet ticket.
- Answering questions about hotel facilities, dining, transportation and tourist attractions.
- Providing removal of items from stored vehicles and other miscellaneous services timely.
- Assisting with fire alarm duties and ensuring guest and co‑worker safety.
- Reporting suspicious behavior or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
- Strict adherence to Fairmont Service Standard Expectations for valet parking.
- Observing and reporting deficiencies, malfunctions, or untidiness in normal duties.
- Operating all types of vehicles (manual and automatic).
Qualifications
- Available to work weekends, evenings and shift work.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Team‑oriented and customer‑service focused.
- Qualified manner and outgoing personality.
- Valid driver’s license with no infractions.
- Good command of the English language.
Physical Aspects Of Position
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Physical ability to operate a vehicle (foot pedals, gear shift, steering wheel).
