Position: Grocery Clerk (Part time)

Location: 1989 Salem Rd N, Ajax, ON L1T 0J9

Shift: Days, Evenings & Weekends

About the role

Join our Metro team as a Grocery Clerk. You will help keep shelves stocked and provide excellent customer service in a agile environment.

What you’ll do

- Unload deliveries and organize products in the backroom or cooler.
- Restock shelves with new inventory, ensuring items are placed in the correct locations.
- Rotate stock (first‑in, first‑out).
- Keep aisles, shelves, and store clean.
- Sweep and mop floors as needed.
- Handle spills promptly to ensure safety.
- Assist customers in finding products and answer questions.
- Provide recommendations and assistance with shopping needs.
- Aid customers with putting groceries into vehicles.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
- Report discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.




- Receive product and ensure invoice accuracy.
- Set up and maintain promotional displays and end caps.
- Ensure displays are visually appealing and organized.
- Update signage and price tags as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who enjoy helping others and are enthusiastic about the food industry. Prior retail or grocery experience is preferred.
