Elevate climate change strategies as a Senior Climate Change Scientist in Yellowknife with the Government of Northwest Territories. Lead your team in making data-informed decisions for the future.

Your role will involve managing a dedicated team within the Department of Workplace and Climate Change. You will develop and coordinate significant territorial policies aimed at climate change. Along with this, you'll analyze climate data, provide essential technical guidance, and enhance public access to vital climate information and resources.

Key Responsibilities:



• Coordinate and lead climate change data analyses • Develop strategies and policies for territorial climate goals • Advise on environmental impact assessments and regulatory processes • Oversee climate projections, indices, and modeling • Manage team efforts to improve climate knowledge dissemination

Requirements: • Post-graduate degree in climate science or related field • Four years of relevant work experience preferred • Two years of supervisory experience in climate change • Field research experience in northern settings is an asset • Valid NWT Class 5 Driver's License
