Be a part of West Coast Seniors Housing Management as a Recreation Aide, fostering community spirit and well-being through fun and engaging programs. You'll assist in creating memorable experiences while ensuring residents' rights and dignity.
In your role as a Recreation Aide, you will report to the Therapeutic Recreation Manager, helping in the planning and execution of activities that cater to the diverse needs of seniors. This involves promoting existing programs and fostering new initiatives that enhance social connections. Your responsibilities will include working with volunteers, maintaining documentation, and ensuring a safe setting in compliance with procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in implementing a variety of recreation programs
• Create and distribute newsletters outlining activities




• Collaborate with external groups for engaging events
• Observe and report changes in resident behavior
• Maintain documentation as per policies and regulations
Requirements:
• High school diploma with a focus on recreation preferred
• Two-year diploma in Recreation or related field
• Prior experience in senior care settings
• Valid BC Class 4 Driver’s License
• Capable of physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
