High School Coach/Tutor/Teacher Wanted

Overview

Oxford Learning Halifax is currently seeking motivated part‑time tutors to join our dedicated team. As a Tutor/Teacher at Oxford Learning, you will play a key role supporting students in Grades 9‑12. This role is in‑person, so you must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Responsibilities

- Teach up to 3 students at a time, following our proven teaching methodologies.
- Provide personalized instruction in a range of math and science subjects, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology.
- Fill out post‑lesson notes and communicate student progress.
- Maintain a friendly, encouraging, and professional demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Solid math and science knowledge, aligned with the current high‑school curriculum.
- Prior experience coaching or tutoring math and/or science at the secondary level.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work with students at different levels.

Job Type & Salary

Part‑time. Salary range: $19 – $20 per hour to start.
