Description

Full time 30 to 40 hours per week at the client’s home in Grimsby, ON. The position is on site only, no work from home. Work environment is non smoking, scent free.

The employer’s home is the work setting; optional accommodation is available on a live in basis at no charge. Public transportation is available.

Tasks

- Supervise and care for children.
- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Bathe, dress and feed children.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Prepare children for rest periods.
- Tend to the emotional well being of children.





Job Requirements

- Languages: English.
- Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience is an asset.
- Security and safety: Criminal record check.
- Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- Personal suitability: Client focus, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organization, reliability, time management, patience, honesty.
