Work with the BC SPCA in Maple Ridge as an Animal Care Attendant, focusing on animal welfare and shelter cleanliness. This full time role is critical for the health of shelter animals.
As a permanent team member, you'll ensure a safe and sanitary environment for animals while supporting front office duties. Your compassionate approach will help promote the SPCA's values. In addition, your collaboration with volunteers will enhance the overall atmosphere and efficiency at the shelter.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure cleanliness of kennels, runs, and cages
• Provide compassionate care to all animals
• Assist front office staff with various tasks
• Support volunteer coordination to optimize their impact
• Perform additional duties to ensure smooth shelter operation
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent education
• Valid Class N or 5 BC Driver’s License
• Knowledge of animal care and breeds
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for office routines
