Take on the challenge of a MOVE Coach with GoodLife Kids Foundation in Vaughan, Ontario, where you'll support youth with autism and intellectual disabilities through adaptive fitness classes. Lead in-person workout sessions to inspire active living.
In this role, you will deliver exceptional fitness programming for youth aged 12 to 21, creating inclusive and engaging experiences. Collaboration with the coaching team and community partners is integral as you determine effective approaches and share valuable insights. Your impact will extend beyond classes as you build rapport with participants and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate fitness classes for youth with special needs
• Collaborate effectively with MOVE coaching team members
• Develop tailored workout plans aligned with participant goals
• Cultivate positive relationships with students and partners
• Address concerns and suggestions from participants and caregivers
Requirements:
• Passionate about mentoring youth with disabilities
• Experienced in leading fitness classes
• Must have reliable transportation for class attendance
• Group Fitness/Coaching certification required or to be obtained
• Hold a current CPR-A certification
