Job OverviewWe are seeking a degreed, Gold Seal Certified Construction Manager to serve as our **Owner's Representative** on multiple concurrent new restaurant construction projects across Canada, each ranging from $1M to $1.5M in construction value.This role acts as our advocate throughout the full project lifecycle — protecting our interests in quality, budget, schedule, and compliance whileworking alongside architects, designers, general contractors, and municipal authorities.This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced construction professional who wants ownership over multiple projects simultaneously, works well independently, and thrives on being the trusted point of accountability between the business and the people building it.This is a remote position that requires the successful candidate to reside in the Calgary, Alberta area, with regular travel to project sites throughout Canada.DutiesServe as the primary Owner's Representative across multiple concurrent restaurant construction and tenant improvement projectsReview architectural and engineering plans for constructability, code compliance, and alignment with brand/operational standardsDevelop and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work; monitor progress against baseline and flag variances earlyManage the RFP/tender process, evaluate contractor bids, and support contractor selectionNegotiate and administer construction contracts on behalf of the ownerConduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor quality, safety, and schedule adherenceCoordinate with architects, engineers, designers, landlords, municipal inspectors, and City of Calgary permitting authoritiesManage change orders, RFIs, and issue resolution to keep projects on trackOversee restaurant-specific requirements: commercial kitchen equipment coordination, grease trap and ventilation systems, health authority compliance, and life safety systemsLead project close-out, punch lists, commissioning,



and final occupancy/health inspectionsProvide regular status reporting to ownership/leadership on budget, schedule, and risk across all active projectsExperienceMinimum 5 years of construction project management experience, with a track record of managing multiple concurrent projectsDemonstrated experience with commercial tenant improvement and/or restaurant/hospitality constructionStrong working knowledge of the permitting processes and standard construction codes in CanadaExcellent contract negotiation and budget management skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to represent ownership's interests confidently with contractors, designers, and regulatory bodiesExperienced in the bidding process and has the ability to qualify bidsSolid understanding of Critical Path Scheduling**Preferred:**Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related fieldGold Seal Certification (CCA) — Owner's Construction Manager or Project Manager designationPMP certification (in addition to Gold Seal)Direct experience with restaurant-specific systems: commercial kitchen exhaust/make-up air, grease interceptors, health authority requirementsExisting relationships with general contractors, subtrades, and municipal officials across CanadaExperience acting specifically as an independent Owner's Representative (as opposed to working for a general contractor)This role offers a energetic environment where your expertise will directly influence the successful delivery of complex construction projects.
