Pantheon is seeking Project Manager II for our major Oil and Gas client.Location: CalgaryRate: $100 /hr.Responsible for leading a cross-functional, integrated project team for heavy civil and mining projects (M$100~300) and driving competitive project performance in Stage 2 (FEL2). Duties will include planning and assembling project teams, leading the project through Gate reviews, managing Contractors, and project stewardship.Tasks And ResponsibilitiesLead project by assembling and leading an integrated project team with accountability for project performance (Safety/Quality/Cost/Schedule)Set key Gate dates and develops plan to support project goals/timelines, including aligning with operational constraintsPlan and ensure project deliverable reviews are completed on time and to the required qualityEnsure stakeholder alignment on project objective and strategies (POS), concept selection, overall schedule and project cost and value deliveryChampioning and drive project competitiveness through implementation of organizational strategies with other functional teamsDrives Concept Selection and optimization activitiesPartner with Senior Technical Leads to define work, risks and appropriate mitigations associated with the projectDevelop and arrange endorsement of Project Road Map with input from key stakeholdersSteward project,



functional, business and other discipline support to ensure timely completion of reviews, resolution of technical queries and required actions, manages development phase budgetMonitor and appraise pre-FEED / FEED Contractor(s) execution against plans and specifications, and participates in developing improvement plans to close gaps in performanceDevelop Project Organization PlansManage and ensure integration of discipline and other functional input to and gain alignment on project basisThis role is based out of our Calgary office, with occasional travel to the Kearl siteSkills And QualificationsBASc in Engineering and either holding Professional Engineer designation in AB, or eligible to apply for Professional Engineer designationExperience managing capital projects for civil or mining in FEL2 and FEL3The candidate must have leadership and personnel management skills, and solid interpersonal skills to interact effectivelyProficiency in most Project Management skills (e.G. execution planning, contracting/procurement, cost estimating, project controls, planning & scheduling, organization design, etc. )Ability to work cross-culturally and adapt to different time zonesAbility to manage remote teams
