Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.)
Position Overview Provides for the delivery of direct client care. Plans, implements, and evaluates client treatment plans. Provides therapeutic clinical interventions and effective milieu management. Administers and monitors effects of medications and related health care procedures. Collaborates with families and community supports to meet client needs. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships within the inter-qualified team and community. Identifies and accesses community resources.
Experience Experience in psychiatry is essential. Child and Adolescent Mental Health experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate from an approved program in Psychiatric Nursing or Nursing. (B.Sc.P.N., B.Sc. M.H. or B.Sc.N. preferred).
Certification/Licensure/Registration Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
Qualifications And Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act.

This maternity/parental term may expire sooner than the date indicated, subject to written notice of a minimum two (2) weeks, or one (1) pay period, whichever is longer.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
