Pursue your passion for research at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Summer Research Assistant focused on suicide prevention and mood disorders. This position allows you to engage directly with important data management tasks.
The role is suitable for university students in their third year of post-secondary education, particularly those studying psychology or epidemiology. You will support the Suicide Prevention Research Cooperative lab, working closely with Dr. Mark Sinyor to enhance a major data collection initiative. Essential skills include data extraction, ethical adherence, and adept communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Extract and code data from case files
• Validate previous coding for accuracy and integrity
• Facilitate data migration to a centralized system
• Contribute to developing a digital database
• Maintain ethical oversight in research processes
Requirements:
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident status required
• Completed 2 years in an Honours degree program
• Preferred experience with data from medical charts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic knowledge of REDCap is an asset
