West Point Grey Academy is searching for an After School Care Worker for the upcoming School Year. This part-time job provides a rewarding opportunity to support and engage young learners after school.
The position runs approximately 15 hours weekly from 2:30 to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with additional hours available during early dismissal days and Pro-D days. Your role will involve planning activities and ensuring a safe and joyful setting for students in grades Kindergarten to Grade 5 while reporting to the After School Care Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement engaging activities
• Daily setup and takedown of play equipment
• Ensure active supervision for children's safety
• Develop respectful relationships with the children
• Assist in navigating conflicts positively
Requirements:
• Must be 19 years old or older
• Experience with children is an asset
• 20-hour responsible adult course completed
• First Aid & CPR certification required
• Consent to Criminal Record Check
