Become an Activity Aide at Southbridge Care Homes on a Temporary Part Time basis from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Your role will be pivotal in creating enjoyable experiences for our long-term care residents.
In this position, reporting to the Programs Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of programs aimed at enriching the lives of residents. Your responsibilities will include setting up event spaces, monitoring resident participation, and keeping accurate program records to ensure each resident's needs are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging individual and group programs
• Clean and prepare activity areas for planned events
• Observe resident behavior and report any significant changes




• Ensure accurate record-keeping in line with department policy
• Collaborate with other departments for thorough resident support
Requirements:
• Qualification in recreation, kinesiology, or related fields
• Robust verbal and written communication capabilities
• Experience in planning for cognitively impaired residents
• Ability to manage time efficiently and work autonomously
• Required completion of a vulnerable sector check and TB test
