Learn more about us on our website atAbout Working in Remote CampsOur camps are located in remote areas and staff live on-site on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks.Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation, ensuite or shared bathroom, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff.Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 10-12 hours (day or night shift) and overtime rates apply.Health and Safety and a Respectful Workplace are essential for everyone working together at LandSea. Our camps are drug and alcohol-free workplaces and require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.The 2nd Cook is responsible for assisting the 1st Cook in preparing all meals and ensuring the kitchen, dining, and living areas are always clean and sanitary.About the Job, Benefits and PerksTemporary position: September 22 to October 11, 2026Wages starting between $20.52 to $23.60 per hourOvertime paySchedule: 10-hour or 12-hour shifts depending on operational needsTravel Subsidy may be available for inbound and outbound travelHealth and Wellness Benefits program available for full-time staffMeals and accommodation while working on sitePartial uniform is providedCamp LocationThis camp is remote and located approximately 5 hours north of Edmonton, AB. Our team organizes all logistics and travel for employees to get to and from camp.#ACAN100Job ResponsibilitiesAll food preparation such as breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, snacks, hot dinner meals, salads, soups etc...Set up salad bar, make traditional salads from scratch including dressingsSet up of breakfast line, lunch station, and dining room; monitor accompaniments and restock as requiredClean up after all meal service, including wiping tables, and counters and washing pots, pans,
dishes, and cutlerySweep and mop floors, wipe tables and counters, break down cardboard; boxes, maintain kitchenappliances, clean vents and exhaust areasAssist with preparation and disassembly for moving and relocationReport to 1st Cook all food and equipment-related concerns and issuesAssist 1st Cook with administration, ordering and inventory countsLearn the 1st Cook role so can assist when necessaryAdhere to all safety practices, procedures and guidelinesThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Qualifications3-5 years of experience as a 2nd Cook preferably in a remote camp environmentGreat communication.
