Position Status: Part time
Compensation: $25 per class

About the Role:
We are seeking a knowledgeable, energetic, and compassionateOlder Adult Fitness Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective fitnessclasses for adults ages 55+. Classes are offered at six sites in theHalifax/Dartmouth area. The ideal candidate is passionate about healthy aging,understands age-related physical considerations, and creates a welcoming,supportive environment for participants of varying abilities.
In This Role, You Will:
- Designand lead group fitness classes tailored to older adults (strengthtraining, balance, flexibility, low-impact cardio, stretching).
- Maintainregular communication with clients to ensure activities are relevant totheir interests and needs.
- Communicateregularly with the Coordinator.
- Completeincident reports when necessary and deliver them to the Coordinator in atimely manner.
- Maintaina positive, inclusive, and respectful class environment.
Education and Skills Qualifications:
- OlderAdult Group Fitness Certification (YMCA, NSFA, CanFitPro, or equivalent).
- Experiencedelivering group fitness to older adults.
- Abilityto work collaboratively with individuals and teams in leading programs.
- ValidStandard First Aid and CPR Level C.
- Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
- Abilityto demonstrate positive and effective interpersonal skills.
- Bilingualismin French, Arabic, or other languages is an asset.
- Scheduleflexibility to accommodate variations outside of regular business hours,as needed.

- ACriminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Child Abuse RegisterCheck (less than 6 months old), if 18 years of age or older.
- ValidFirst Aid and CPR training.
