Lancashire Distribution a wholesale building material supplier to the cabinet industry and retail lumber yards is looking for a warehouse associate. The ideal candidate will possess wide ranging skills in material handling and be able to adapt to constant changes in their work setting. Self motivation, a great attitude, work ethic and customer service are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

- Load/ unload trucks of finish material by forklift while exercising attention to detail to avoid damage to product.
- Safely operate forklifts with carrying capacity of 6000 lbs, forklift training will be provided if required.
- Manually stage sheet good, laminate, hardware and lumber orders
- Complete weigh bills and fill out shipping documents accurately
- Accurately ship and receive incoming and outgoing freight.
- Accurately product code incoming freight




- Participate in regularly scheduled cycle counts

Requirements

- Minimum of 1-2 years in a warehouse environment, building material experience an asset
- Able to lift 50 lbs by hand is required
- Must be reliable and punctual and wear ppe as required by company policy manual
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills required

Position details

Regular hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm (some overtime may be required)

Compensation dependant on candidates experience and qualifications

Benefit package available to qualified candidates after successful completion or mandatory probation period.
