Job Description

As a Paint Associate, you will help customers fully understand their needs and assist in selecting the right products for their requirements. As a knowledgeable sales qualified, you can make recommendations that solve customer problems and enhance their shopping experience. This is a variable‑shift position. The successful candidate must be available to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

- Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
- Clarify and understand customers’ needs and take them to the best solution for their projects
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
- Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions
- Produce quotes, material lists and follow up
- Demonstrate high standards of safety and customer service
- Resolve customer challenges quickly and efficiently
- Continually learn about products and market conditions

Qualifications





- Excellent communication and team player
- Sales and customer service experience
- Possess a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to lift 55 lbs
- Ability to work weekdays/evenings/weekends (rotating shifts)
- Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D635) used to process orders
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent considered an asset
- Bilingual – French/English is considered an asset
