Make a difference at the BC SPCA as an Animal Care Attendant in Fort St. John. You’ll participate in daily care and support for animals while keeping their environments safe and clean.
As part of the BC SPCA team, you will take on essential responsibilities that ensure optimal animal welfare. This position requires a motivated individual who excels in a quick-paced setting and has a strong commitment to animal care standards. You will work under the supervision of the Animal Centre Manager, providing compassion and dedicated care to all animals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide continuous cleanliness of the facility
• Uphold health standards through systematic monitoring
• Ensure accurate documentation of animal welfare
• Administer proper feeding and enrichment for animals
• Groom and bathe animals as required
Requirements:
• High school diploma preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and supportively
• Knowledge of animal welfare principles
• Must hold a valid BC driver’s license
