We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Part time Janitorial Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on supervisory position—the successful candidate will be responsible for both performing daily restaurant cleaning duties and overseeing the janitorial team.
Schedule
- -part time potentially leading into full-time
- -must be available for early morning (5AM)
- -some evening availability required for occasional coverage
- -flexibility to provide coverage when needed
Responsibilities
- -perform daily cleaning and sanitation duties within a restaurant environment
- -work alongside janitorial staff as a hands-on member of the cleaning team
- -oversee janitorial staff and ensure cleaning standards are consistently being met
- -train and have ongoing support for new employees in a positive manner
- -provide direction and feedback to staff as needed
- -monitor the quality and completion of assigned cleaning duties
- -help coordinate staff and ensure adequate coverage
- -help maintain a reliable,
efficient and positive cleaning team
Qualifications
- -Previous supervisory or management experience is required and should be clearly detailed in your cover letter
- -previous janitorial and/or commercial cleaning in a restaurant setting is an asset
- -strong leadership and communication skills
- -comfortable and responsible to work independently and as part of a team
- -must be willing to perform regular physical cleaning duties which includes heavy lifting as well as repetitive movements
- -Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle for every shift is a must
- -Basic computer skills would be an asset
PLEASE NOTE: this is a working supervisor position. The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for completing regular cleaning duties in addition to supervising and supporting the janitorial team.
