Swell Tofino is looking for an experienced Surf, SUP, and Bike sports leader to join our team. We continue to deliver outstanding customer service while sharing our passion for the ocean through surf equipment rentals and surf instruction.

We strive to provide a secure and fun way for guests to be immersed in the ocean and surf environment through rentals and instruction. Terms of Employment

- Full time
- 30 – 40 hours/week
- $31/hr

Skills Requirements

2 – 3 years of experience in surf‑specific coaching and instructing.

Job Duties

- Demonstrate and instruct athletic,



fitness or sports activities and techniques
- Keep logs and maintain records
- Schedule activities
- Supervise staff
- Train staff
- Ensure safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes
- Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs
- Plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities
- Maintain and repair sports equipment
- Prepare reports

Required Certification

- ISA Level 2 Surf Instructor Certification (required to train surf instructors)
- International Life Saving water safety certification (ILS)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Paddle Canada Stand Up Paddleboard Instructor certification
- Criminal record check
- Full Drivers License (not learner’s license)
