The YMCA Calgary is searching for a dedicated Head Basketball Coach for the Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton. This role requires a background in coaching and effective communication skills to inspire participants and support volunteers. Your responsibilities will include leading basketball practices, mentoring other coaches, and evaluating program success while providing a safe and engaging environment for youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support basketball skill development programs
• Mentor volunteers and help develop coaching strategies




• Collaborate with Sport Supervisor for program improvements
• Assist in recruiting new coaches and well-rounded training
• Maintain communication with participants and their parents
Requirements:
• 3-5 years coaching experience with youth sports
• National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) preferred
• Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification required
• Police information check with vulnerable sector search needed
• Adaptable availability for evening and weekend shifts
