The YMCA of Regina is hiring a full time Peer Support Lead to support the HOMEBASE initiative. Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience, particularly relating to mental health and addiction recovery, and should be prepared to share their personal experiences. The position encompasses leading group support sessions and ensuring easy access to necessary services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide initial support for youth at HOMEBASE
• Facilitate one-on-one and group support services
• Link participants with community services for better support




• Conduct outreach to engage the local community
• Manage office tasks, including phone inquiries and data entry
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12; additional education is a plus
• Relevant personal experience with mental health challenges
• Familiarity with local 2SLGBTQIA+ community services
• Open availability for evenings and weekends
• Background check with vulnerable sector required
