This contract position focuses on providing quality swim instruction while upholding YMCA standards. You’ll participate in learn-to-swim programs and engage with members to promote safe swimming habits. Collaboration with the Aquatics Supervisor/Coordinator is essential to provide excellent service and maintain proper safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead swim lessons ensuring member safety
• Maintain constant surveillance during swim sessions
• Perform safety checks on lifesaving equipment
• Complete administrative paperwork accurately
• Enforce rules and guidelines for safe swimming
Requirements:
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certification
• National Lifeguard certification is required
• Experience with pool operations
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
