Wage: $15.25 to $16.00 / hour (To be negotiated)

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 30 to 44 hours / week

Benefit: 4 percent of total wages for vacation pay

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Previous work experience in retail sales is preferred, but not required.

Job Duties

- Operate cash register
- Handle transactions involving cash, checks, and credit/debit card payments
- Scan items
- Receive payment for goods or services
- Calculate and reconcile daily or shift payments with the total sales figures
- Suggestive selling
- Greet customers
- Wrap or place merchandise in bags
- Manage customer service inquiries
- Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products
- Monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary
