This full time temporary role focuses on overseeing inspection programs and directing a dedicated team of Fire Prevention Inspectors. Your role is crucial in identifying risks and ensuring compliance with safety standards for the vast population of tenants in the Toronto area. Collaborate with various internal and external partners to implement effective fire prevention strategies within TCHC.

Key Responsibilities:



• Manage inspection schedules and team workload efficiently • Address compliance and safety challenges with stakeholders • Develop and maintain comprehensive Fire Safety Plans • Prepare contracts and track vendor performance • Conduct public education campaigns on fire safety

Requirements: • Post-secondary education in a relevant fire protection field • 3–5 years of job-related experience in inspections • Familiarity with Ontario Fire Code and safety legislation • Excellent communication and report writing skills • Previous management of unionized staff considered an asset
