Location: North York, ON

Salary: $20.85 hourly, 30 to 40 hours per week

Starts: as soon as possible

On-site work at the physical location. No remote option.

Work environment: Non-smoking, scent-free. Work setting: Employer’s home.

Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment. Public transportation available.

Tasks

- Supervise and care for children.
- Assume full responsibility for household in parents’ absence.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Discipline children according to parents’ methods.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods.

Job Requirements

- Education: Secondary (high)



school graduation certificate (or equivalent).
- Experience: Experience is an asset; specialization in child care preferred.
- Target audience: Supervise and care for a multi-aged group of children.
- Security & safety: Criminal record check required.
- Transportation/travel: Willingness or ability to travel as needed.
- Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- Personal suitability: Client focus, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organization, reliability, time management, patience, honesty.
