Course Description

In this fourth architectural design studio in the Master of Architecture studio sequence, students will be guided through the challenges of integrating structural and environmental systems, while responding to site conditions and addressing a program of moderate complexity. This studio is meant to provide students with an prospect to integrate the variety of systems (technical and otherwise) necessary to architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

M.Arch degree or other Graduate degree in Architecture preferred. We are seeking applicants with a proven record of teaching foundation design studios at the M. Arch and/or B.A/B.Arch level.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of contemporary architectural pedagogy and the current state of the discipline, at both practical and theoretical levels, is highly desirable.

Duties





Attending meetings required by studio coordinator; Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.

This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.
