The Youth Drug Stabilization Worker (YDSW) plays a crucial role within the Youth Addictions Stabilization Unit. This position requires five years of experience in supporting youth affected by addiction, alongside skills in crisis de-escalation and treatment planning. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you'll manage individual plans and implement effective behavioral strategies to foster protected environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate admission and discharge of youth effectively • Evaluate and implement individualized treatment plans • Conduct behavioral management during crisis interventions • Prepare concise reports on observations and evaluations • Assist families in accessing community resources
Requirements: • Diploma in Child & Youth Care or related field • Five years providing support for mental health and addiction • Experience with harm reduction strategies • Certification in First Aid/CPR required • Knowledge of Indigenous culture preferred
