Role Description

This is a full-time in office role for Cooks at B.C. Ltd. Asian Kitchen located in Parksville, BC.

- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas




- Organize and manage buffets and banquets
- Manage kitchen operations

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen or food production is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures

Compensation

$21.5/hour, 30-40 hours per week
