ITPS works with military organizations, government agencies, and aerospace companies worldwide to deliver high-performance training solutions supported by modern aircraft, simulation systems, and evolving data-driven methodologies.As part of its continued investment in innovation, ITPS is expanding its capabilities in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and advanced training technologies.Role OverviewITPS is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of advanced data analytics and AI capabilities within a growing R&D; initiative. This role will focus on transforming complex, multi-source operational data into structured insights, performance metrics, and scalable analytical tools.The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the project, developing data models, and establishing best practices for data processing, analysis, and integration. This individual will also support the future build-out of a data team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of data processing pipelines for complex,
multi-source datasetsDevelop methodologies to extract meaningful insights from time-series and high-frequency dataDesign and implement statistical models and machine learning approaches where appropriateStructure and integrate diverse data sources into unified analytical frameworksDefine key metrics, features, and indicators for performance analysisCollaborate with subject matter experts to translate operational concepts into measurable outputsEnsure data quality, consistency, and reliability across datasetsSupport visualization and reporting of analytical resultsEstablish best practices for data management, documentation, and reproducibilityContribute to technical planning and project executionParticipate in hiring and mentoring of junior data team members as the project expandsRequired Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field5+ years of experience in applied data science or analytics rolesStrong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn or similar libraries)Experience working with time-series data and large, complex datasetsStrong data wrangling, preprocessing, and feature engineering skillsExperience developing and deploying analytical models in real-world environmentsSolid understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniquesExperience with data visualization tools (e.G., matplotlib, seaborn, Power BI,
