Looking for a Part Time administration/reception role in a busy clinic to compliment your own work?

Position Function

As the Receptionist and first point of contact for patients, you will have a crucial role in maintaining the functioning of our clinic and making valuable contributions to the success of our integrated healthcare environment. The right candidate will be responsible for fostering strong relationships between our patients, staff/practitioners and other referral sources. They will achieve this by providing administrative support and coordinating clinic activity with a welcoming, enthusiastic and professional service. A successful applicant should be an excellent communicator, detail oriented, have strong organizational, multitasking and time-management skills and welcome the opportunity of working in a busy, fast paced clinic setting.

Responsibilities

- Booking new patients and follow up appointments
- Management of activity log and waitlist throughout each shift
- Processing payments and extended health care billing through various portals
- General administrative duties- filing patient electronic documents, assisting patients with paperwork and maintaining patient records
- Assisting patients to the treatment area if required
- Communication with practitioners
- Responsible for clinic cleaning duties
- Use computer word processing, spreadsheet and database software to prepare forms, letters report and memos as necessary

Qualifications & Core Competencies

- Experience in a Physiotherapy/Chiropractic clinic is an asset
- Fosters positive and collaborative team culture
- One year customer service in a healthcare environment considered as asset




- Knowledge of Jane software is preferred
- Friendly, professional, and patient-oriented demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette
- High degree of organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision
- Sufficient discretion to understand when to consult with supervisor and other colleagues on matters
- Able to maintain composure during high volume periods
