We are seeking a Server to join our team at Deacon's Corner Gastown. We are hiring for a flexible part‑time position. This on‑site role involves managing daily guest interactions, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring every guest has a positive experience. You will be responsible for maintaining high service standards and making sure all guest needs are met promptly and efficiently. Availability to work variable shifts—including weekends and statutory holidays—is required.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests
- Take and process customer orders accurately
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Handle payments and operate the POS system




- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve issues when needed

Qualifications

- Previous serving experience, ideally in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during peak hours
- Experience handling orders and payments, with familiarity using POS systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful or busy situations effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards is an asset
- Flexible availability, especially on weekends and holidays
