Become a part of Extendicare's culinary team as a Dietary Aide in Hillcrest Place, Brandon, Manitoba. This role includes meal serving and compliance with health standards across varying shifts.
As a Dietary Aide, you will ensure that residents receive meals that meet their dietary restrictions while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Your role will include assisting in food preparation and tackling various operational tasks in the dietary department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure proper meal serving temperatures according to preferences
• Assist with food preparation including straightforward dishes
• Keep kitchen and serving areas clean and organized
• Handle dietary supplies with accurate labeling and storage
• Stock and prepare nourishment carts as needed
Requirements:
• Completion or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program
• Must hold a current Food Handler’s Certificate
• 0-1 year of dietary experience is preferred
• Ability to stand for extended shifts and lift moderately
• Flexibility for shifts including evenings and weekends
