- Able to match documentation for receiving and shipping with the products.
- Effective order picking and able to follow company process.
- Efficient in stacking heights of up to 25 feet.
- Responsible for securing load and understanding load securement method.
- Carry out pre and post-trip inspections of the forklift and accurately document damages.
- Occasionally perform light maintenance on the forklift.
- Comply to company policies and procedures as well as industry standards.
- Comply and participate with Canada Labour Code Part II (health and safety regulations) and AWSA program.
- Report product defects & damages with adjoining documentation.
- Report near misses and accidents.
- Collection of empty chemical drums and totes on behalf of our customers.
- Perform duties of a labourer.
- Perform all other duties assigned by manager.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a forklift operator.
- Ability to work long hours and odd weekends during busy season.
- Excellent focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to write and do basic math calculations.
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
- Extensive knowledge of forklift mechanical parts and operations.
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
- Working knowledge of Apple device and IOS.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pallet jack 1000 kg pallets of product.
- TDG, WHMIS and Forklift certification obtained.
