The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC), a national nonprofit organization serving the Muslim community since 2000, is seeking a Graphic Designer for a full-time summer position at its Mississauga, Ontario headquarters. This 35-hour-per-week role is funded through the Government of Canada's Canada Summer Jobs programme and offers an excellent opportunity for entry-level designers to gain practical nonprofit sector experience.

In this position, you will work within the Communications department to create diverse promotional materials including posters, flyers, social media graphics, and presentations. Your work will support MAC's campaigns and community initiatives while adhering to established branding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Design promotional and campaign materials for print and digital platforms
- Create social media graphics and optimize content for various digital channels
- Develop website graphics and newsletter content
- Maintain and organize digital assets and design files
- Edit and update existing materials as needed
- Support events and community activities with on-site design assistance




- Collaborate with the Communications team on content and messaging

Required Qualifications

- Demonstrated background in graphic design (formal education or self-taught portfolio)
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or equivalent design software
- Portfolio showcasing work across both digital and print mediums
- Robust organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
- Capacity to manage multiple deadlines effectively

Preferred Qualifications

- Video editing or motion graphics experience
- WordPress familiarity for website content management
- Knowledge of MAC's mission and local community involvement
