The Department of Medicine at McMaster University seeks a qualified Academic Infectious Diseases Physician for a renewable three-year faculty position. The successful candidate will have completed specialty training in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases. In addition, a master’s degree in public health or related fields is preferred, along with experience in developing antibiotic treatment guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-patient infectious disease consultations over approximately fifteen weeks • Contribute to the infectious disease outpatient service • Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate education • Participate in departmental educational activities • Collaborate in research and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements: • Specialty training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases • Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada • Eligibility for licensure in Ontario • Demonstrated experience in education and research • Ability to support equity and diversity initiatives
