Our approach emphasizes a multi-disciplinary, person-centered, and family-focused model to address the diverse needs of those seeking recovery in Saskatchewan.

We are seeking an organized and energetic Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to oversee the creation and implementation of high quality early learning and child care program at The Carter House.

Knowledge

- Planning and implementing early learning and childcare programs that are supportive of positive early learning and child development outcomes
- Play-based opportunities that are determined by childrens interests
- Early learning framework
- Intensive needs of children and inclusive practice
- Understanding that children grow and learn through positive,



responsive interactions with adults and peers in their lives
- Promotion of positive behaviours and child guidance
- Ethics of the early learning and child care profession
- Effective communication
- Recognition and will value the communities and cultures in which children grow and learn, including Indigenous cultures in Saskatchewan
- An understanding that relationships are the foundation upon which optimal child outcomes are built
- Mental health, substance abuse, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction would be an asset

Qualifications

- Two-year diploma in early childhood education
- ECE certification Level 3
- CPR and First Aid
- Valid Class 5 license
- Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.

Expected Salary Range: $23.00 - $27.00 hourly
