As a Peer Counselor, known internally as a Core Guide, your mission will be to engage individuals struggling with serious mental illness. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that clients receive holistic support and access to needed resources. Your role will be vital in fostering trust and addressing the barriers to their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outreach to individuals in diverse settings
• Schedule appointments and support health needs
• Build trusting relationships to empower recovery
• Advocate for client needs during care coordination
• Ensure timely documentation and case team collaboration
Requirements:
• Personal experience with responsible mental illness
• Commitment to obtaining Peer Recovery certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficiency with technology and communication tools
• Minimum two years of recovery experience
