Early Childhood Educator (Part-Time, Relief)
Locations: Shawnessy YMCA, Seton YMCA, and ECCO Child Development Centre.
Start Date: Immediately.
Salary: $15.00 - $18.66/hour + provincial wage top‑up.

Qualifications
- The ability to work scheduled shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.
- Will be required to travel and work in multiple locations.
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification – Level 1, 2 or 3.
- Experience working with children aged 12 months to 6 years in a licensed childcare setting.
- Positive attitude and collaborative teamwork approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including basic computer literacy.
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR‑C certification within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider; preferred if issued by Canadian Red Cross, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John’s Ambulance, or Canadian Ski Patrol.
- Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Three professional references.
Responsibilities
- Fill in for absent staff members as assigned.
- Utilize a cooperative team approach for managing centre operation needs.
- Consistently deliver a developmentally appropriate program while engaging with and supervising participants, including supporting personal care needs.
- Demonstrate protected practices, promptly address all health‑ and safety risks, and manage emergency situations per YMCA procedures.
- Acquire and maintain required certifications and training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe indoor and outdoor environment.
- Engage in centre, facility, and association events, happenings, and initiatives as required.
