A well‑established and rapidly growing steel fabrication company in Timmins, ON is seeking 2–3 Fabricators/Welders to join their team immediately to work in the shop daily.

About the Role

This position is focused on producing high‑quality structural and industrial steel components . You will work hands‑on with heavy‑duty materials and be responsible for ensuring every weld and assembly meets high standards of accuracy and performance.

- Competitive hourly rate: $22–$36/hr (based on experience and certifications)
- $22-24/hr for junior welders (1-2 yrs experience)
- $25-36/hr for intermediate to senior (4yrs+ in structural steel welding experience)

Key Responsibilities

- Perform 100% MIG welding to CWB standards
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
- Set up jigs, fixtures, and layouts
- Cut, fit, and weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Verify measurements, tolerances, and fit‑up
- Conduct pre-fit inspections and maintain strict quality control
- Ensure all assemblies meet internal and customer specifications

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in steel fabrication/welding (structural or industrial)
- Strong MIG welding skills
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols
- Experience with manual and semi‑automated fabrication tools
- CWB certification (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW) is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
