An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and engaging leader. The successful candidate will be accountable for operational leadership of an inpatient unit within the Complex Care Program.Reporting to the Director of Complex Care, the Clinical Manager utilizes clinical leadership skills to ensure the highest quality of patient care through planning, day to day operational management, and coordination of human and physical resources. Your proven leadership skills promote frontline accountability, innovation and the development of high performing teams. You are a self-directed individual with demonstrated strengths in quality improvement, staff engagement and establishing collaborative partnerships. Your leadership style is recognized as harmonious with and reflective of the values of St. Joseph's Health Care.The Complex Care Program comprises an inpatient palliative care unit and two units providing medically complex care. The 18-bed Palliative Care unit provides pain and symptom management and end of life care for those experiencing life limiting illness. The 71 bed Medically Complex Service provides care to patients who require ongoing medical management as well as rehabilitation following a major medical event, accident or illness. We provide support to individuals with a range of chronic complex conditions including designated beds for patient's requiring chronic ventilator support and residential medically complex care.



The goal of the Complex Care unit is to return individuals to the community; either to their home orto a long-term care setting.Essential QualificationsBaccalaureate Degree in nursing or an allied health professionCurrent registration with relevant qualified collegeKnowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSAAbility and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSADemonstrated leadership skills including team development, change management, staff engagement and conflict managementStrong critical thinking and problem solving with exceptional facilitation and coaching skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPrevious experience in leadership with a demonstrated ability to create a high-performance cultureSolid knowledge and understanding of legislation related to Employment, People & Financial ManagementDemonstrated experience in program development, quality improvement, and project managementPrevious experience with a complex medical, neurological, palliative and respiratory/long term care populationDemonstrated organizational and computer skillsDemonstrated skills in budget and business planningAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with a wide range of professionalsAbility to promote the values of shared leadership and interdisciplinary team collaborationEvidence of ongoing professional development in leadership/clinical best practicesIn addition, the successful candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities including leading self, engage others, achieve results, develop coalition, system transformationPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a health-related fieldLEAN trainingProficiency in French would be an assetDemonstrated interest and experience in research and program evaluationPrevious experience in a unionized environmentTeaching and ResearchSt. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital.
