Store - TOR-MILTON, ON

Overview

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. Provide friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they’re looking for.

Responsibilities

- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
- Dust and mop floors using approved methods.
- Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct locations.
- Cleans assigned areas using designated materials and equipment.
- Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways, and other high-traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance.
- Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete the task.
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
- Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.

Other Duties as Assigned

- Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
- Engage customers on rewards program and private label credit card benefits, and complete enrollments.
- Assist with omni-channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS.
- Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.




- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Adhere to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute company policies and standards.

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

- Retail and/or cleaning experience.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
- Work may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Work Environment

- Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
- Some outdoor work may occur for retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
- Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
- Includes handling of glass cutter and heat press equipment.

Qualifications

Applicants in Canada must satisfy federal, provincial, and local legal requirements of the job. Must be at least 16 years old.

Salary

$18.60 - $21.45
