French Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning North Bay is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French teacher/tutor/coach to work part‑time in a small group setting.

Position Details

Employment Type: Part Time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Location: Oxford Learning North Bay, 343 Airport Road, North Bay, ON
Schedule: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday–Friday, Saturdays 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (availability required); commitment through June preferred, summer continuation preferred.

Responsibilities

- Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
- Conduct sessions in French only.
- Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
- Strong background in spoken and written French and English.
- Experience teaching or tutoring French to students up to Grade 12 (Grade 9–12 preferred).




- Strong English written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage up to three students simultaneously.
- Teaching certification an asset.
- Good knowledge of current Grades 9‑12 French core curriculum.

Further Requirements

- Post‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm) plus some Saturdays; must be able to commute to the location.
- Vulnerable sector screening mandatory; relocation packages not available.
- English language proficiency; French teaching duty only.
