The Halifax Regional Centre for Education is seeking a Carpenter with NSUPE membership. This position involves vital carpentry duties, focusing on maintenance and energy stewardship.

As a Carpenter at HRCE, you will ensure the smooth operation of physical plants by executing essential installation, repair, and renovation tasks. Your role is critical in maintaining the structural integrity and efficiency of all HRCE buildings. With ongoing responsibilities, you will report to a Regional Manager while operating under the guidance of on-duty maintenance supervisors, significantly impacting our education facilities.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct installations and repairs of building components • Undertake preventive maintenance and renovation projects • Assist in troubleshooting physical and mechanical issues • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure project success • Implement energy management strategies in carpentry work

Requirements: • Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent • Carpenter qualification recognized by Nova Scotia • At least 5 years of relevant experience • Clean Nova Scotia driver's license • Strong physical and mechanical capabilities
